We're happy to announce that the Twitter video downloader is back up and running again! It took us a bit longer than expected to push out this fix, but we're finally there.
Twitter no longer returns the 'x-guest-token' when you make a request to any random twitter.com page. They now require you to make a POST request to api.twitter.com/1.1/guest/activate.json with the Authorization header with the value baked into their html page. Once you do that, it'll return a tiny json object containing the precious guest_token which we then use to make requests and get you your videos.
As always, if you encounter any issues or have any suggestions for improving our video downloader tools, please don't hesitate to reach out to us at https://twitter.com/OneTapTools.
